 Payment Types

Novalnet supports major payment methods across different regions. Here we list major payment methods that you can integrate with Novalnet.

Credit/Debit Cards

Accept international card payments around the world.

Direct Debit

Buyers authorizing pulling funds from their account through Direct Debit agree to a mandate and provide their bank account details during checkout.

SEPA Credit

A SEPA Credit is a payment in Euro, debiting a SEPA account and crediting to another SEPA account.

Wallets

E-wallet that allows buyers to pay using stored cards or bank account in their digital wallets.

Online Bank Transfers

Online bank transfer is a virtual deposit of money from one bank account to another used by millions of customers worldwide. Online bank transfers are traditional payment methods, yet shoppers can make instant payments.

Invoice

Payment made to you either from the buyer or from payment guarantee for the purchase made through invoice.

Prepayment

Payment in advance is considered the classic among payment methods and is the safest option for product providers – according to the motto: First the money, then the goods.

Guaranteed Payments

Novalnet offers guaranteed payments which verifies and guarantees the buyer’s credibility and allows the goods to be delivered

Instalment Payments

Payment by instalments at Novalnet is completely interest-free for you and your customers, and is available for Pay by Invoice as well as SEPA direct debit payment methods.

Multibanco

The Multibanco payment method allows shoppers to pay merchants through ATMs or online banking.

Funds Transfer

The Funds Transfer payment type allows the transfer of funds between accounts from marketplace to affiliate or from affiliate to the marketplace.

EPC-QR-Pay

With EPC-QR-Pay you offer your customers the possibility to pay on site with their banking app.

Payment process

Based on the End-user prospects, Novalnet differentiated the payment process integration into the following flow.

Direct Method

The End-user can complete the payment without leaving the website/shop system once the end-users details and the payment information are submitted to Novalnet. e.g. CreditCard (non-3d secure), Direct Debit, Invoice payments.

Redirect Method

Payment methods like Online banking, Wallet, the End-user was redirected to another website to complete the payment as it requires End-user authentication on their page.

Once the End-user's details and the payment information are collected, you need to redirect them to the Corresponding payment method's site.

Post-payment

To complete the payment, the End-user needs to perform some post-payment actions, such as paying at a bank (Online banking) or store (Barzahlen) or ATM (Multibanco) or using wallets (PayPal) where they scan a QR code with their mobile application. For every post-payment actions, the notification will be triggered to the corresponding notify URL.

We strongly recommend to configure the hook URL to get the status updates for all the payment methods. For more information about the notification process, Please refer to the Notification Webhooks.

Activate the Payment Method in Novalnet

To use the desired payment method through Novalnet, you need to activate the particular payment method in your Novalnet Novalnet Admin Portal. Please follow the below steps

  1. Log in to your Novalnet Admin Portal.
  2. Go to Projects > {Select your desired project from the list}, in which you going to activate the payment.
  3. Select the Payment Methods tab (Projects > {Select your desired project from the list} > Payment Methods), which will displays (as inactive) all the available payment methods in Novalnet.
  4. Now click on the Edit Payment methods link and enable/activate the needed Payment Methods based on your business requirement and click on the Update button.

Supported Payment Methods

Most payment methods are easily supported in all our client-side integrations. After the payment methods are activated in Novalnet Admin Portal, You can show the corresponding payment method on your Checkout page based on your selected integration types in Novalnet.

Pay by Link

The hosted payment page will be loaded from the Novalnet and from where we can get the payment details.

Hosted Payment Page

Here either you can redirect the End-user to the Novalnet's hosted payment page or you can load it in the iFrame in your web store itself.

Direct API

It needs the payment form in the client-side integration itself. So you need to build the payment form in your own UI and need to send the Payment details through our API.
