Audições
Uma comissão é autorizada a organizar uma audição de peritos se entender que a mesma é indispensável para o seu trabalho sobre uma determinada questão. As audições também podem ser realizadas conjuntamente por duas ou mais comissões. A maioria das comissões organiza audições com regularidade, uma vez que as mesmas lhes permitem ouvir a opinião de peritos e debater questões fulcrais. Three European Parliament committees, IMCO, JURI and PETI, held a public hearing on the European Citizens’ Initiative “Stop Destroying Videogames.” The hearing follows the initiative’s submission on 26 January 2026 and gave its organisers the chance to present their proposal. Members of Parliament questioned the European Commission about actions it may take in response.
On 24 February 2026, the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) and the Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) held a joint public hearing on the immunity of United Nations (UN) and International Criminal Court (ICC) officials. The hearing examined the legal frameworks underpinning the privileges and immunities of international officials, in light of recent US sanctions on UN and ICC personnel.
