The organisation of the academic year 2025/2026 in Hungary is as follows:

| Breaks between the teaching activities excluding the examination period, if significant* | There is usually one significant main break in the academic year, the winter break that lasts for 2 weeks around Christmas and the New Year's Eve. One or two shorter (ususally one week long) breaks are offered in autumn and spring. It is the winter break only that is longer than a week (2 weeks ususally).
