Ted made several mistakes in managing his new company SterMexicana in Mexico. He delegated too much responsibility to Manuel and did not actively oversee operations himself. As a result, Manuel was able to hire many of his own relatives without Ted realizing. When issues arose, it was discovered that many employees were unqualified. Going forward, Ted needs to restructure the company by hiring a new assistant instead of Manuel and becoming more involved in operations instead of relying on subordinates. He must also better understand the local culture and laws before establishing strategies to correct the company's difficulties.
