As part of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM), the DSSE trains young researchers and supports them and their supervisors throughout their doctoral education.

Our candidates are not only from the FSTM, but also from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) and the Luxembourgish public research institutions. Within the framework of our Doctoral School and in close cooperation with the faculty’s departments, doctoral candidates can attain competences for their personal career development and contribute to cutting-edge research.
