Miserable customer service
Miserable customer service. I am now changing all my stuff to another supplier.
Great experience!
+100% price increase!!!
I had auto-renewal turned on and suddenly received an invoice which I had paid automatically. I've been a customer for years, but suddenly UD increased the price of renewal of the domain with more than 100% since last year without any prior notice! I paid €104 EUR for the renewal of ONE domain!

I had a ".de" domain for a year with this company. As I didn't need it anymore I did not do anything at the expiry time and I expected (as with all companies that I worked with so far) to get the domain closed. Instead after several months I go a letter from vindication company informing me that: 1) the domain was closed due to me not paying; 2) I have to pay for the year forward anyhow (say around 20euro); 3) I have to pay another 95euros (!) for vindication fees under some german civil code penalty etc. The mail came with unregistered post at the address I don't live at anymore (thanks to the courtesy of the new tenant I got hold the letter). So in the end the domain was cancelled but I had to pay for it anyhow with interests under the penalt threats. This company is not serious and to me uses predatorial practices to ambush their customers. I paid the fee, now I do not want to deal with them ever again and so I advise to any potential clients.
Auto renew feature and domain expiration time issues
Sadly, my experience with the platform is becoming worse.
I have all of my domains set to auto renew but this feature didn't work as expected. I received invoices for the payments and that the domains are renewed month ago but they weren't. I could see the expiration date have passed in user's area. When I tried to renew them manually I could do it only 2 years ahead, until 2021.
So it seemed that the domains were renewed somewhere in UD's platform but this was not appearing in the user's area. I did manual renew because I was afraid the domains may drop. Still the expiration date of my domains is one year behind.
I have still not received answer from the support (3 days now). I wrote them twice. It seems everything is autopilot, no matter if it is working or not.
As a domain owner I can say that my domains were exposed to risk of dropping.
I would not recommend this service to anyone who cares about its domains.

Cheap and easy but don't expect customer service to reply to any questions.
2 questions sent to CS before and after the purchase and none of them ever got a reply.
Upside: Most domains available at a competitive price.
