If your device is ODA (On Device Activation) compatible, your eSIM can activate automatically during first-time setup, no QR code needed.

As long as your phone is eSIM compatible we’ve got you covered even if your phone is not ODA compatible. We’ll email you a QR code and step-by-step instructions so you can activate your eSIM on your phone.

ODT (On Device Transfer) makes it easy for existing Three eSIM customers to move their eSIM from one phone to another.

If both your old and new devices support ODT, your eSIM can transfer automatically during setup, with no QR code or extra steps needed.

If your device supports eSIM but not ODT, you can still move your eSIM manually using a QR code and step-by-step instructions we’ll provide.

Choose a Three Bill Pay or Prepay plan and an eSIM-compatible phone. Existing customers can switch from a physical SIM to an eSIM by ordering a replacement online, calling us or visiting a store.

An eSIM is a built-in virtual SIM in your device, activated by scanning a QR code and entering a confirmation code from an email we send. It functions like a regular SIM but offers added benefits. We've written this helpful blog post so you can learn more about eSIM.

Please note that eSIM is only available on compatible phones. Most newer phones are eSIM compatible. To find out if your device is eSIM compatible, visit our device guides. From there, just select your device and check the user manual.

With dual SIM phones, you can use a physical SIM and an eSIM. Enjoy:
• Two numbers and plans on one device.
• Plans from two networks (requires an unlocked phone).
• Add a local data plan while traveling abroad (unlocked phones).
For activating dual SIM, check your device maker's site as steps vary.

On iPhone
1. Turn on Wi-Fi
2. Open Device Settings
3. Select Setup Mobile Service
4. Select Use QR Code
5. Scan the QR code that we emailed you
6. Select which services to use with your eSIM

On Android
1. Turn on Wi-Fi
2. Open Device Settings
3. Select Connections
4. Select SIM Card Manager
5. Select Add Mobile Plan
6. Select Scan Carrier QR code
7. Select which services to use with your eSIM

To get your phone and smart watch connected, you'll need a Smartwatch Share plan from Three. This allows your watch to use the Three network to make calls, send texts, and use data, even when your iPhone isn't nearby.
