I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the
Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living
and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,

Story of creation and Big bang theory
The story of creation, which narrates how god
created the universe in six day,is found in
genesis 1 othe old testament.
It narrates how god created the world
Worship and observance
 Christians have a certain religious
observance in which commemorates
particular events in the history of
Christianity
 Some of the most important
Christian observance are
Advent,Lent,easter,and pentecost
Advent
 The advent refers to the season of waiting for the
birth of the messiah, hence its celebration lasts 4
weeks, beginning four sundays before Christmas and
ending in Christmas eve.
 It is meantbas an opportunity to reflects on the
significance of the birth of jesus who sent by the god
the father to restore the humanity’s relationship with
god
 During advent, it is not only the birth of christ which
is anticipated but the second coming of the savior as
well
Lent
 Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting, and
almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and
ends at sundown on Holy Thursday.
 It's a period of preparation to celebrate the last
supper of jesus and his cruxifiction at calvary .
During Lent, we seek the Lord in prayer by reading
Sacred Scripture; we serve by giving alms; and we
practice self-control through fasting
 We are called not only to abstain from luxuries
during Lent, but to a true inner conversion of heart
as we seek to follow Christ's will more faithfully.

Easter
 Celebrated by Christians as a
joyous holiday because it
represents the fulfillment of
the prophecies of the Old
Testament and the revelation
of God's salvific plan for all of
humankind.
 In commemorating the
Resurrection of Jesus, Easter also
Pentecost
We remember the day the disciples received the
Holy Spirit in a special way. The story in Acts 2
describes a powerful wind and tongues of fire as
the Holy Spirit was poured out on people from all
over the world who came to Jerusalem to
celebrate a Jewish feast. At the first Pentecost over
3000 people were baptized, creating the first
church. This is why Pentecost is known as the
birthday of the Christian church.
The word Pentecost comes from the Greek work
Subdivition of christianity
Christianity was legalized in 313 C.E. upon
Constantine decleration of the edict of
milan,which declared equality among all
religion.
In 325 C.E., he convened the first ecumenical
council at nicea in asia minor, which was
attended by bishops from eastern and western
regions of empire.
The conflict was further heightened when
pope leo III crowned Charlemagne ,king of the
franks, the holy roman emperor in 800 without
Selected issues of christainity
We have discussed how Christian church was
subdivided into different sects.
In order to address the issue of disunity among
Christians,the concepts of enumenism was
adopted by the roaman catholic church
Thus, enumenism is one important issue in
Christianity .
Still there some issues which are in conflict with
Christians teaching,concerning sexuality
(especially issues of contraception,abortion,and
Ecumenism
 the word ecumenism refers to all of the
activities and initiatives of the Church
and her members to promote mutual
understanding and, ultimately, unity
among all Christians.
 Ecumenism is based on the unity and
universality of the Church, which
possesses all the goods given by God
for salvation, and on the Church’s
proper relationship with non-Catholic
Christian bodies which share some of
Sexuality
 Sexuality refers to sexual orientation, sexual activity and sexual feelings.
 Christianity advocates natural family planning methods such as the
rhythm method, wherein couples will engage in sexual act only during
days women is not fertile and cannot conceive a baby.
 In this light, abortion is also considered immoral by catholic church sincr
its entails the killing of life.
 Another issue with regards to sexuality is that of homosexuality,it refers
tp attraction to members of same sex.
 The catholic church states that homosexual orientation itself is not a
sin,it is neverless tendency towards “moral evil” of homosexual activity.
 The church does not allow the same sex marriage and vocal in opposing
homosexual relationship
Family and Divorce
 The Christian view on marriage is based on matthew 19:6 “he
who made man from the beginning, made them male and
female.
 And he said:for this cause shall a man leave father and
mother shal cleave to his wife , and they two shall be in one
flesh.
 Divorse is not allowed in catholic church since it believes in
sanctityof marriange, which should be a lifetime bond
between men and women and its considered a legal bond on
the earth and spiritual bond in heaven.
 If couples wish to separate ,annulment also known as decree
of nullity, in which is delared that the marriage was never
valid in the first place.

 The strong opposition of the catholic church as well as the
Capital Punishment and Euthasia
Capital punishment or death penalty wherein a person is
punished by death for her or his capital crime goes against
the Christian belief that life is given by god and should not
be taken away by any person.
Since Christianity advocates the belief that life is given by
god, euthanasia or mercy killing is also considered Immoral
since it entain tails taking away what has been given by
god, and that human beings should not interfere with
natural process of death.
Human beings are made in the image of god so people
have unique capacity to become rational which enables
them to see what is good and to want what is good ,that is
why they have no right to end the gift from god.
In Christianity, all human lives are equally valuable and no
