This study investigates the correlation between antero-inferior glenoid bone loss, the number of shoulder dislocations, and the mode of injury in patients with recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation. Findings indicate that 90% of patients experienced glenoid bone loss, but the frequency of dislocations was less significant in determining the bone loss compared to the initial mode of injury. The study suggests that detailed imaging should be utilized in routine preoperative evaluations to better understand glenoid bone status.
