The Office of Accountability (OA) strives to promote educational equity and ensure that all students have the opportunity to thrive in school and in life. Through its administration of New York’s accountability system under the approved New York State Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan, OA partners with schools and districts to provide scaffolded support that ensures all schools and districts have the tools, resources, and programs necessary to meet the unique needs of our students through sustainable continuous improvement systems and structures. As part of this collaborative process, OA provides technical assistance and/or coaching to schools and districts to ensure that they have ownership and agency as they plan for the success of the students they serve.
