"Once my heart was captured, reason was shown the door, deliberately and with a sort of frantic joy. I accepted everything, I believed everything, without struggle, without suffering, without regret, without false shame. How can one blush for what one adores?" ~ George Sands

Happy weekend !
Thanks to all my friends !
In the heart of a geranium flower. Experimenting the use of a combination of 12, 20 and 36 mm extension tubes with my 50mm lens
This is a beautiful tulip from my fathers garden. I'm so busy at the moment that I have not been on flickr lately. Will have time this weekend.
Again this year I've grown Cosmos in my garden. I tried some this year that had tube-like petals but to be honest I prefer the plain or bi-coloured original ones. This is a pink one with the sunlight shining through the petal and the inside lit with a bit of fill in flash.
Pink petals passing, scents above so high,
Painted porcelain perfection, blossoms caress the sky..
Swaying silent shroud, suitors strolling by,
Pink petals passing, Lover's gentle sigh..
Pastel hues falling, slow fluttering grace,
Pink petals passing, Lining streams in lace..
Pink petals passing, smoothest transit by,
Soft essence floating in most subtle lullaby..
Inducing springtime slumber upon a satin shore,
Sailing with the current, Pink petals pass before..

Tiny pink flowers in my backyard. I need to mow the lawn, and I know these are just weeds but they are quite pretty - I'll feel bad mowing them down.
