A strong care society recognises the skills and efforts of caregivers, providing financial and psychological support for those who sacrifice their careers, jobs and dreams for the sake of others. Caring for those who take on this burden is essential, and most of them are women. The European Union must increase its support for their income and professional development in order to address the gender care gap and make the sector more appealing to young people. Many Europeans feel that they have no choice but to prioritise child or elderly care over work. This debate demonstrated the urgent need to address such issues and ensure that care is recognised as a social responsibility, not just a personal one.
