The next DMAG meeting will take place on 11 March 2026, from 17.30 to 19.00, in WEISS N3.2.

The main items on the agenda will be:

- an exchange of views on the situation in Libya and the EU-Libya relations, with:

• Mr Nicola ORLANDO, Ambassador of the European Union in Libya

- an exchange of views on the situation in Mauritania and the EU-Mauritania relations, with:

• Mr Luis MORATINOS, Division West Africa (POL.AFRICA.3), EEAS
• Mr Luis MOLLEDO, Head of Unit, MARE B3, DG MARE

The meeting will take place IN CAMERA

The DMAG meeting took place on 26 January 2026, from 17.00 to 18.30, in SPINELLI 3G2.

The meeting was dedicated to:

• A debriefing of the mission/JPC held in Morocco on 27-30 October 2025

• An exchange of views on the status of the EU relations with the Maghreb countries, with Mr Aldo LIGA, Research Fellow at Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI)

The DMAG meeting took place on 22 October 2025, from 16.30 to 17.30, in CHURCHILL 200.

The meeting was dedicated to an exchange of views with Mr Lahcen Haddad, EU-Morocco Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) co-Chair and Moroccan Members of the JPC on the upcoming EU-Morocco Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting in Rabat, on 28-30 October 2025

The meeting was dedicated to:

• the election of the First and Second Vice-Chairs

• an exchange of views on the situation in Algeria and the EU-Algeria relations with Ms Alexandra Gatto, Deputy Head of Division, North Africa (POL.MENA.3), EEAS and Mr Florian Ermacora, Head of Unit, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya (MENA.A.1), European Commission

• an exchange of views on the situation in Morocco and the EU-Morocco relations with Ms Alexandra Gatto, Deputy Head of Division, North Africa (POL.MENA.3), EEAS and Mr Florian Ermacora, Head of Unit, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya (MENA.A.1), European Commission

The DMAG meeting took place on 12 February 2025, from 17.00 to 18.30, in Strasbourg, room CHURCHILL 200.
The Delegation held an exchange of views on the situation in Algeria and the EU-Algeria relations, with H.E. Mr Diego Mellado, Head of the EU Delegation in Algeria.

The last DMAG meeting took place on 7 May 2025, from 16.30 to 18.00, in Strasbourg, room CHURCHILL 200.

The Delegation held an exchange of views on the current political situation in Libya with:

• H.E. Mr Nicola Orlando - Head of the EU Delegation to Libya
• Mr Florian Ermacora - Head of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya Unit (MENA.A.1) in DG MENA

and an exchange of views on the situation in Mauritania and the EU-Mauritania relations with:

• H.E. Mr Joaquin Tasso Vilallonga, Head of the EU Delegation in Mauritania
