On 3 June 2026, the Members of the Legal Affairs Committee met to hear the presentation by the Commission on the European Biotech Act proposal. At the same meeting, JURI Members voted on and heard the reporting back to committee of the negotiations pursuant to Rule 75(3)) by the rapporteur regarding the legislative dossier: Jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of measures and cooperation in matters relating to the protection of adults (2023/0169(COD)).
On 4-5 May 2026, the Members of the JURI Committee met jointly with LIBE Committee to present the draft report on Establishing the Justice programme for the period 2028-2034 (2025/0255(COD)). At the same meeting, JURI Members heard the presentation of the 28th Regime proposal by Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath.

The European Parliament Coordinator on children’s rights
Guided by the "best interest of the child" principle, the Coordinator works to ensure the promotion and protection of children's rights in all EU policies and legislation. She seeks to assist citizens experiencing parental child abduction and other cross-border family disputes. She advocates closer collaboration with the judicial and administrative bodies and seeks to promote mediation in cross-border family matters.
