The Special Committee on the European Democracy Shield (EUDS) was mandated to investigate ways in which the European Union can further strengthen itself against malicious interference in European democracies. The mission to the US aimed to analyse how the US works to detect and counter hybrid threats, to assess the importance of the cooperation with the EU and exchange best practices.

The Special Committee on the European Democracy Shield (EUDS) aims to recommend improvements to legislation to strengthen its democratic processes against malicious interference, foreign and domestic.
