Dienstreizen
Een commissie kan besluiten een dienstreis naar een lidstaat, een land buiten de EU of een internationale conferentie te organiseren. Dienstreizen worden gemaakt in het kader van de uitoefening van de aan de commissie toegekende bevoegdheden, door een beperkt aantal leden van de commissie. Een commissie kan ook gedurende maximaal drie dagen een driekoppige delegatie sturen naar de agentschappen waarvoor zij ten principale bevoegd is. From 25 to 27 May 2026, MEPs travelled to South Africa to discuss the commercial relations as well as regional integration. A delegation of eleven Members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA), accompanied by the Chair of the Delegation for Relations with South Africa, travelled to South Africa from 25 to 27 May 2026 to discuss the commercial relations including the implementation of the Clean Trade and Investment Partnership, the first of its kind.
A delegation of three Members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA) travelled to Bern, Switzerland, from 31 March to 1 April 2026, to meet Swiss authorities, parliamentarians and stakeholders following the conclusion of the broad package of agreements with Switzerland, which aims to deepen and expand the EU-Switzerland relationship.
A delegation of eight INTA Members, led by Committee Chair Bernd Lange travelled to Yaoundé in Cameroon from 24 to 27 March 2026 on the occasion of the Ministerial Conference of WTO and Parliamentary Conference on WTO. The mission aimed to participate in high level meetings of the MC14 and session of the PCWTO which were dedicated mainly to WTO reform and challenges - how to modernise the functioning of the WTO while preserving multilateralism in trade.
A delegation of six INTA Members, accompanied by the DASE Chair, travelled to the Philippines from 16 to 18 February 2026 to discuss political, economic, trade and investment relations between the EU and the host country.

INTA Members met with Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the WTO to discuss the state of world trade and the prospects for trade policy in the aftermath of the 13th Ministerial Conference which took place earlier this year (MC13).
