Seduti ta’ smigħ
Kumitat jista’ jorganizza seduta ta’ smigħ ma’ esperti fejn dan jitqies essenzjali għall-ħidma tiegħu fuq suġġett partikolari. Is-seduti ta’ smigħ jistgħu jsiru wkoll b’mod konġunt minn żewġ kumitati jew aktar. Il-parti l-kbira tal-kumitati jorganizzaw seduti ta’ smigħ regolari, billi dawn jippermettulhom li jisimgħu l-esperti u jagħmlu diskussjonijiet dwar kwistjonijiet ewlenin. On Wednesday 15 April 2026 the International Trade Committee of the European Parliament will hold a Public Hearing on Trade and Investment relations with China from 15.00 to 17.00 in Brussels.
On Tuesday, 2 December 2025, between 09:00 and 11:00, INTA will hold a Public Hearing on Trade and Strategic Autonomy.
On Tuesday, 4 November, from 14:30 to 16:30 INTA will organise a Public Hearing on EU-Gulf trade and investment relations.
On Tuesday, 15 July, between 10:30 and 12:30 INTA will organise a Public Hearing on “Trade and economic security: Navigating protectionism and geopolitical challenges in an unpredictable world order”.
Amid ongoing debates surrounding the EU-Mercosur Partnership, on 24 June 2025 the International Trade Committee of the European Parliament will hold a public hearing on “The EU-Mercosur Trade Agreement” from 15.00-17.20 in Brussels. Committee aims to provide a comprehensive platform for discussion, reflection, and stakeholder engagement on this topical issue.
On 8 April 2025, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on International Trade will hold a joint public hearing on the implementation of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement in force since 1 May 2021.
On Tuesday, 3 December 2024, between 14:30 and 16:30, INTA will organise a public hearing on “The Draghi report: competitiveness and economic security from a trade angle”. Speakers from the academia and representing workers and industry organisations will weigh in on how EU trade policy should contribute to the objectives set out in the Draghi report.
