Uzklausīšanas
Komiteja var organizēt ekspertu uzklausīšanu, ja uzskata, ka tas ir vajadzīgs sekmīgai attiecīgā jautājuma izskatīšanai. Uzklausīšanu var rīkot kopīgi divas vai vairākas komitejas. Vairums komiteju organizē regulāras uzklausīšanas, jo tās sniedz iespēju uzklausīt ekspertu viedokli un apspriest svarīgākos jautājumus. On 3 June 2026, the FEMM and LIBE Committees will jointly organise a public hearing on the forthcoming ‘New Strategy on Anti-Trafficking’, to be presented later this year by the European Commission. The hearing will focus on the implementation and results of the EU Strategy on Combatting Trafficking in Human Bengs (2021-2025), the lessons learnt and possible ways forward to strengthen the EU response to trafficking in human beings.
On Tuesday, 5 May 2026, the FEMM Committee held a public hearing on “AI, gender-based violence including sexual images of women and children: the case of Grok”.
On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, the FEMM Committee jointly with the Committee on Public Health will hold a hearing on “Menopause care in the EU“.
The LIBE Committee hosted a Public Hearing on the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) calling for a "Ban on conversion practices in the European Union". The hearing took place with the involvement of the Committee on Petitions (PETI) and the participation of the Committee on Gender Equality and Women’s Rights (FEMM).
On Thursday, 11 December 2025, the FEMM Committee and the Committee on Public Health organised a joint public hearing on Digital Violence and Women's Mental Health, with the involvement of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs.

On Tuesday, 2 December 2025, the organisers of the European Citizens' Initiative presented their initiative at a public hearing held by the FEMM committee with involvement of PETI and with the participation of the DEVE, SANT and LIBE committees in presence of Hadja Lahbib, Commissioner for Equality; Preparedness and Crisis Management.
On 6 November, the SEDE Committee will hold, jointly with the FEMM Committee, a public hearing on the 25th Anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on "Women, Peace and Security" as part of the EP Gender Equality week. This hearing will be an opportunity to take stock on the progress and challenges in the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
FEMM-EUDS exchange of views on Radical movements advocating against gender equality
In the framework of the European Parliaments’ Gender Equality Week 2025, the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) and the Special Committee on the European Democracy Shield (EUDS) organised a joint exchange of views on 'Radical movements advocating against gender equality such as manosphere, causing interference with European democratic processes'. It took place on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 from 15 to 16 CET.
On Wednesday, 5 November 2025, the FEMM Committee held a hearing on "Women's Leadership in Politics".
On Tuesday, 4 November 2025, Vice-President in charge of Gender Equality Week Antonella Sberna organised, in cooperation with the FEMM Chair Lina Gálvez, a high-level event on the occasion of the Gender Equality Week 2025.
On 24 September (15.00-17.00) the DROI Subcommittee and the FEMM Committee organised a public hearing on ‘The EU strategy to promote and to protect human rights of women worldwide (notably in Afghanistan & Iran, with a focus on fighting gender apartheid)’. Representatives of the EU, the United Nations, the International Criminal Court and Amnesty International will participate in the exchange while human rights defenders and journalists will share their personal testimonies.
