A bizottságok szakértői meghallgatásokat szervezhetnek, ha ez szükséges egy adott témával kapcsolatos munkájukhoz. Két vagy több bizottság tarthat közös meghallgatásokat is. A legtöbb bizottság rendszeresen szervez meghallgatásokat, mivel ezek lehetővé teszik a szakértők meghallgatását és eszmecsere folytatását a legfontosabb kérdésekről. On 5 May 2026, the CULT Committee held a public hearing on "The Audiovisual Policy Framework and the Future of Creative Freedom". The objective of the public hearing is to examine the functioning of the EU audiovisual framework and its practical impact on the evolving media market.

On 5 November, the CULT Committee will hold a hearing that will look at whether a European Degree can improve cooperation between European universities and remove some of the obstacles faced by the European Universities Alliances that have formed thanks to a flagship initiative of the European Education Area.
