Une commission peut organiser une audition d''experts lorsqu''elle estime que celle-ci est indispensable pour ses travaux sur une question déterminée. Les auditions peuvent aussi être conduites conjointement par deux commissions ou plus. On 23 June 2026, the ENVI Committee is organising a public hearing on circular economy, with the title “Less waste, more value: Towards an EU Circular Economy Act”. The hearing will focus on the current legislative framework on circular economy, the lessons learnt and possible ways forward, as well as how to support innovative approaches and deliver on implementation.
On 2 June 2026, the ENVI Committee is organising a public hearing on the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), titled “EU ETS: Current Performance and Pathways for the Future”. The hearing will focus on the current functioning of the EU ETS, its role in delivering cost-effective decarbonisation, and possible directions for its future development in light of the EU’s 2040 climate target.
On 3 December 2025, the ENVI Committee is organising a public hearing on energy drinks and minors. This public hearing will look at the risks linked to energy drink consumption in minors, following the findings of a recent report by Foodwatch Germany.
This joint ENVI-AGRI public hearing will focus on two key elements of the Commission’s legislative proposal on a forest monitoring: suitable indicators for a harmonised forest monitoring and an appropriate data collection system for sustainable forest management.
