The EMPL Working Group on the European Child Guarantee was originally established in the 9th parliamentary term on 19 May 2022, reflecting the European Parliament’s strong commitment to preventing and combating child poverty and social exclusion. It was re-established in the 10th term in June 2025 to continue and strengthen its mission. The Working Group includes one Member per political group and may also include substitutes, and it is chaired by Hristo Petrov (Renew).
