On 8 June, the LIBE Committee will held an exchange of views on impact of Islamic extremism on the European way of life with representatives of the European Commission and academia.

On 1 June, the LIBE Committee held an exchange of views with Magnus Brunner, Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration and Nicholas A. Ioannides, Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection, representing the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, on the state of play of the implementation of the Pact on Migration and Asylum. After a transition period of two years following its entry into force in June 2024, the Pact will start fully applying on 12 June.

On 1 June, the LIBE Committee held an exchange of views on strengthening EU civil protection and increasing the resilience of European critical infrastructure with representatives of the Commission, Hybrid CoE, and civil society.

On 7 May the LIBE Committee hosted an exchange of views with Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath, as part of the Structured Dialogue.
