At the bottom of the emails sent to the clients that don’t have completed the shop, this plugin show this text “Don’t remind me again” but I don’t see the translation in italian language.

    My hypothesis are 1:
    1) or is missing a translation,
or the issue come from 2 italian translations:
    – one is 100% completed in 2024 and have the right translation (system translation)
    – the other is tranlated 61% in 2026 and is missing this english text and I can’t translate it.
do you have some suggestions to exit from this issue?

    Hi @whichtransfers,

Thanks for the detailed report, and good detective work here.

You’re right that this isn’t a bug in the plugin itself. Here’s exactly what’s happening: WordPress checks two places for translations, the global wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder (where language packs from translate.wordpress.org get auto-downloaded) first, and only falls back to the plugin’s own bundled translation file if nothing is found there. Our plugin’s bundled Italian file already has this string translated (“Non ricordarmelo di nuovo.”), but the official Italian translation project on translate.wordpress.org is only 23% complete and hasn’t had approved activity in 6 years, this specific string is still marked “untranslated” there. So if your site ever downloaded that language pack, it takes priority over our own more complete bundled file, and this string falls back to English.

For an immediate fix on your own site, you can use the Loco Translate plugin to add this translation yourself. Install Loco Translate, go to Loco Translate > Plugins > Cart Abandonment Recovery, open your Italian language file, and add “Non ricordarmelo di nuovo.” as the translation for “Don’t remind me again.” Loco Translate saves this as a custom “safe” file, so it won’t get overwritten when WordPress pulls a new language pack.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @whichtransfers ,

Thanks for following up, and for confirming the string doesn’t show up as translatable in Loco Translate.

We just tested this on our own test site using Loco Translate, and the “Don’t remind me again” string is available for translation there. If it’s not showing up for you, it’s likely that Loco Translate hasn’t picked up the latest strings yet. Could you try clicking the “Sync” button in Loco Translate to fetch all the current strings, then check again for this one?

Here’s a screen recording showing it working on our end: https://bsf.d.pr/v/lkGQrF

Let us know if it shows up after syncing.
