Hello, I’ve been using Insert Pages successfully for a few years, including many cases where the my insert page call refers to the title of the page rather than the slug or the page id.

Example: [insert page='Going for the jugular (outline)' display='content' inline]

This stopped working very recently and I think it was after the update to 3.11.0.

I am on WordPress 6.9. I am on Customizr theme 4.4.24. They are the latest as far as I know.

I have verified I can fix this by taking the parentheses out of the title of the inserted page, and out of the example code above. However I’m hoping to find a fix that doesn’t require me opening 50-100 posts and making manual changes. Thanks!

Aloha, we released version 3.11.1 with better support for inserting pages by titles. Give it a try and let us know if it works for inserting your pages with parentheses in the title.

(Note: prior to version 3.11.0, the legacy insert method implicitly supported inserting pages via page title, using the name parameter to query_posts(); this wasn’t intentional, but since you and others are using it, we now added support to do this explicitly!)
