How to Do Page Measurements on Windows
The Page Measurements upgrade in PDFelement introduced several enhanced features for accurate and versatile PDF measurements. The tool supports automatic summation of multiple measurement results, helping users quickly get totals without manual addition.
Measurements can be made using a floating frame, enabling flexible placement across the document. It also supports measuring the area and perimeter of circular regions, expanding measurement capability beyond standard shapes. To know how to use this feature on PDFelement, read the steps mentioned below:
Step 1
Once you have opened the document within the toolâs interface, enable the âCommentsâ utility by accessing the sidebar from the left. Now head to the toolbar at the top of the page and expand the âMeasuring Scaleâ icon. To measure the distance, click on the âDistanceâ option from the expanded list.
Step 2
Drag the cursor to the area you want to measure the distance to specify the selection. Complete the selection by right-clicking and choosing the âMeasurement Completeâ option. Once the selection is made, you can see the measured distance on the bottom right side of the interface. You can customize the appearance of the drawn scale by accessing the panel on the left.
Step 3
To measure the perimeter, expand the âScaleâ icon and select âPerimeter.â Now draw the selection, and the perimeter will be calculated at the bottom right corner.
Step 4
Similarly, measure the âPolygon Areaâ by expanding the âScaleâ icon from the toolbar and selecting the area on the page. After making the selection, you can also change the scale by rightâclicking and pressing the âMeasurement Settings.â Specify the âScale Ratioâ and other settings like âPrecisionâ and âSnap,â before hitting the âOKâ button.
Step 5
Finally, measure the circle area by expanding the âScaleâ icon and choosing the âCircle Areaâ option. Repeat the same procedure to calculate the circular region and review the results in the small window at the bottom right corner.
