Aims and scope

The Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (BSME) is an interdisciplinary international journal that publishes novel research related to Mechanical Sciences. A broader mechanical perspective is encouraged, including mechanistic models applied to transdisciplinary subjects connecting engineering sciences, mathematics, physics, biomedical, environmental and sustainability.

Analytical modeling, numerical simulations and experimental approaches are all welcome to deal with mechanical science problems that includes, but are not restricted to solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, dynamics, structural mechanics, advanced materials, nonlinear phenomena, thermodynamics, heat transfer and manufacturing.

The Journal accepts innovative manuscripts in three different formats:

• Full Papers - Original research with scientific contributions presenting a useful and novel addition to the literature.
• Review Articles - Written by leading researchers, presenting the background and overview of a particular field, and the current state of the art. Usually these articles are by invitation only.
• Letters to the Editor - Outstanding concise articles reporting important, new and timely developments.
