Here you will find the digital training resources for NTNU employees working with research.
Additionally, it is important that you become familiar with the research ethics routines at NTNU and national guidelines.
Introduction to research ethics
This training module is developed for all employees at NTNU who work with research, but the module is also relevant for support functions and other related roles affected by research ethical issues. The module is part of the onboarding of new employees, but will also be relevant to return to at a later time when facing a difficult dilemma or situation.
The module is intended to provide advice and support related to research ethics issues and dilemmas, and contribute to increased knowledge and awareness of research ethics.
The training module consists of conversations between Siri Granum Carson, professor of applied ethics, and relevant resources at NTNU regarding topics related to research ethics.

Introduction to Research Ethics for PhD Candidates
All PhD candidates at NTNU are expected to complete this course as part of their research training.
The course provides an introduction that provides a basic orientation within general research ethics topics. After the course you will have:
- Increased knowledge and awareness of research ethics
- Increased knowledge of the basic "infrastructure of research ethics"
- Encouragement to engage in independent ethical reflection
