We could just utilize XML files and - to those who stil use HTML browsers - XSLT stylesheets.

Once we have an XML or JSON internet, this "media session" mechanism, or of what ever sort, be handled by client software.

For instance, The Atom Syndication Format (RFC 4287).

Is it not so?
