V1.0.0 release: alpha #97

@jackfranklin

Description

@jackfranklin

I've just pushed 1.0.0-alpha.0 to npm under the next tag. This is the version that uses the latest web components spec (kudos to @ChristianMurphy) for doing all the work here!

We should figure out a list of what we need to have done before we can publish v1 fully. I suspect it'll take a bunch of time, but I hope soon to be able to try to run against this version at Thread and see what goes wrong.

Things before a stable v1 release

  • write some karma tests that actually put components into the page and test them (I have some working on a branch, need to tidy it up and open a PR)
  • get a CI build working reliably on this repo
  • rewrite the README - we can bring it more up to date now I suspect.
  • make it clear in the README that we only support the new version of the web components spec
  • get a nice set of demos available online (GitHub pages?)
