Wanted to share something we've been building at ISURKI: ISURLOG, an ESP32-based industrial datalogger for field deployments (water level, environmental monitoring, remote sensor sites) running on MicroPython, in production.

Some interesting things about the project:

• Real industrial I/O under MicroPython: 4-20mA analog, Modbus RTU (RS485), PT100, digital pulse counting using ULP coprocessor.
• Deep sleep down to ~20µA, with NB-IoT/LTE-M, LoRaWAN, or Wi-Fi depending on the unit.
• A live MicroPython REPL reachable remotely over the cellular connection, for field debugging.
• Firmware is open source: github.com/isurki-tecnica/isurlog-firmware

Happy to answer anything about the architecture, the power management, or why we went with MicroPython over IDF for a commercial product. That decision gets questioned a lot and I think it's a genuinely interesting one to defend.
