v4.4.3 — Closing Time #2684

v4.4.3 "Closing Time" is out. Release notes and download — it will show up in Settings → Updates via HACS.

The end of a game finally behaves like an ending. The speaker kept playing after the last round; that was fixed once and came back, so this time the pause is held and re-applied for a few seconds rather than checked once. The final round that ends on its own, with nobody touching the host phone, now stops the music too. Spectators sitting out a finale playoff no longer score or guess.

The screens that spoke half English stopped doing it — the host's setup line, the statistics on the TV, the end screen on your phone and the reveal. A guest joining on party wifi with no internet also gets the join button straight away, instead of waiting out a download that was never going to arrive.

Underneath: the media-player service is half the size it was, the admin page no longer depends on load order through a ring of globals, and main now has branch protection so nothing reaches it with a red build.

Thanks to @mikemikimike, whose first contribution to this project landed in this release — the finale-playoff fix, with its own tests, ninety minutes after the issue was filed.

If something in this release misbehaves, open an issue — the odd moments people bother to write down are where most of these fixes come from.
