Taking on ongoing maintenance responsibilities #3726

Hi @BenjaminBossan,

I'd like to contribute beyond individual fixes and take on ongoing maintenance responsibilities in PEFT, particularly around adapter trainability and merge/unmerge correctness. My merged contributions include #3495 (preserving adapter trainability during injection) and #3575 (IA3 grouped-convolution merge).

Would ongoing help with issue reproduction, regression coverage, and initial triage in this area be useful? Is there a path for regular contributors to take on a triage or collaborator role, and what would you want to see from me first?

I'm happy to start with a narrowly scoped responsibility under the team's guidance. I'd also appreciate knowing if a different area or contribution channel would be more useful right now.
