Would like it if the keys in the params dictionary had the leading ':' stripped from them.

So currently, route /a/:myVar/c maps /a/b/c to a params dictionary of [":myVar": "b"]. What I'd like is to have the ":" stripped from the keys so it looks like ["myVar": "b"].
