Beta cores developed by Jotego. A bgt6 key file is needed in order to unlock and play games on these cores - download the latest version from the link below (Patreon login needed). Once cores are released to the public, this file is no longer needed.

Latest jtbeta.zip file (27th Sept 2026): Download from Patreon or GitHub

• Easy Mode: Use Pocket Sync or Pupdate. Just place jtbeta.zip in the root of your SD card and install the cores/run an update.
• Manual Mode: Unzip jtbeta.zip and place the beta.bin file into "Assets/jtpatreon/common" on your Pocket SD card. If you have issues with installation, ensure all your cores are up-to-date, and check this article by Jotego.

Cores are made available to the public once main development is finished and bugs have been ironed out - sometimes that's a few months, sometimes it's like 2 years. If you enjoy the work José and his team do, I strongly encourage you to support their Patreon and help fund future FPGA development.

If you want your JT cores to have more accurate names, manufacturer info and images, there's a few easy ways to fix that:

• Pupdate includes a setting to automatically correct JT platform names when installing.
• Pocket Sync can download pr e-made platform metadata and images; it's also the easiest way to manually edit platform info, or make your own images.
• Dyreschlock's Platform Overrides repo has a bunch of great pre-made platform info files and images for current and future JT cores that you can drag and drop onto your SD card (also available via Pocket Sync, see above).

These cores have been promoted out of beta and are available via Pocket Sync or Pupdate, or by downloading directly from GitHub (direct links to each core below).
