Why this would be helpful

It would make the search addon itself functional, since ScratchDB (what the addon uses to search through posts) has been down for a long time at this point.

My suggestion

A Scratch user by the name of redspacecat created a forum post statistic and search tool. I think it would be great if it could be added to Addons to replace the now defunct ScratchDB. The API is documented on their website here.

Possible alternatives

I think this is the only alternative to ScratchDB at this point in time. So not much else can be done other than this or removing the feature altogether.
