For consistency (and because I think it looks better), I feel like types and other keywords/keys should be lowercase. (eg. {"type": "host"})

If we go ahead with this, then we would need to also define how multi word values are represented. My personal choice would be lowerCamelCase.

Open to others opinions/suggestions.
