Unless someone wants to forever manage latest revision numbers, can we take this opportunity to not offer direct download links but instead redirect to https://www.python.org/downloads/? 3.6.5 is outdated, for example.

I agree with linking to the downloads page rather than linking to the direct download. We don't want people installing older versions of a release when there's no reason to.
