Zeke's — Skeleton Crew

A website redesign concept for Zeke's built after the shop's skeleton-and-mug mural: black wall, bone line art, an orange mug, and neon OPEN signs. Type is Luckiest Guy + Rubik.

index.html is the whole site — one self-contained file with the fonts and photos embedded as data URIs. It works offline, on desktop and on phones, with no build step and no server.

• The full current menu, transcribed from zekes.net/menu.
• All 7 shops with address, phone, and posted hours, plus a live open/closed badge computed in Eastern time (ZK.openNow in src/data.js).
• An order flow (state → shop → that shop's dine.online link), catering form, reviews, Instagram strip, and mailing list.
• Mobile nav sheet, Escape/keyboard handling, and prefers-reduced-motion respected.

index.html is generated from src/p5.src.html. You only need this if you want to change the page and regenerate the inlined assets.

Requires Python 3 with Pillow, and Node for the fonts:

• src/p5.src.html — the page template. Placeholders: {{img:name@width}} (inlined from src/img/), {{FONTS:Family,...}} (embedded from node_modules/@fontsource), {{DATA}} (data.js), {{LOGO_PATH}} / {{LOGO_VB}} (the traced logo).
• src/data.js — shared content: menu, shops, hours, reviews, ZK.openNow().
• src/img/ — photos captured from zekes.net at ~1000px, plus logo.svg / logo-filled.svg (traced from the site's logo PNG) and mural-hero.jpg / mural-full.jpg (a low-res capture of the mural photo — swap in the original before this goes anywhere real).
• src/build.py — the inliner. Its font table covers every family used across the wider prototype set; src/fonts/package.json installs only the two this page needs.
• src/shot.py — Playwright screenshot helper for desktop/mobile checks.

To turn this into a conventional static site, replace the data-URI inlining in build.py with file references into assets/img and assets/fonts.

The mural is an SVG drawn after the @mirth_murals piece in the shop. Prices and hours are as of Aug 29, 2026. This is a concept, not an official Zeke's property.
