Steps to reproduce this issue
- Open connection manager, no connection entries should be present
- Click on
New to create a new connection entry.
- Select
Connection type PostgreSQL (TCP/IP). The dropdown Library` remains empty:

4. Click on button Open to connect to server. A misleading error window pops up:

Possible solutions
- present a default value for PostgreSQL library inside the dropdown
- programmatically check whether PostgreSQL library is given inside the dropdown menu. If not, show an appropriate error message insie an error popup window.
This issue prevented me from having a smooth first user experience when using HeidiSQL to connect to a PostgreSQL database. Thanks for providing such a helpful tool!
