The mail app on iPad and iPhone has been not working for the last week. There are two of us in the house and we are both experiencing the same problem. IOS 26.6

Look here for not working If you can’t send email on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
if the link doesn't help, then explain to us what "not working" means.
Maybe your mail-server has an outage.
Did you check your mail-provider?
Thanks Razmee209 - apologies, I should have given more details. When trying to refresh the mail app and download incoming emails, it says downloading and nothing happens, it’s seems like we are not connected to the internet, but everything else is working.
