Being able to retrieve and save files and photos from a failed or old computer or hard drive is a great thing considering the alternative.

Have yet to find a laptop, phone'etc to recognize this portable cd reader/writer..so much for plug n play

Instruction very brief, no conector for my HP laptop 4 T B disc only about 5 years old. May work but I can't try it

Only issue is a wire was out of the power connection that I needed to reinstall. No biggie.
