Iâve been playing Genshin since its release and it was very engaging story wise and had an easy and interactive game plan. However, once I started playing Honkai Star Rail, I expected the game play to be just as easy to grasp like Genshin, but unfortunately it wasnât. Personally, Iâm only interested in the lore and exploration of the game, not the boss fights because they seem overly complicated and the tutorial lacked in depth detail thatâs easy to grasp. Itâs discouraging and makes me dread fighting in the game as the concept is much more difficult to grasp compared to Genshin. This is my personal experience, so if anyone disagrees then I accept that. Another issue I have is the fact you canât continue the game without wasting money on top tier characters, which adds to my dissatisfaction and discouragement to continue playing. As I said, at this point, Iâm only interested in the story and not the game play. Genshin is leagues better even if you also have to spend money on it as well. At least with Genshin, you can use low tier characters and buff them up to continue the game, but for Star Rail itâs much more difficult.Regardless, the game is aesthetically pleasing and has incredible scenery which I enjoy. I would recommend playing it but you would have to research and be willing to spend a lot of money in order to fully enjoy the experience.

I held off on playing this game because I was in love with Genshin at the time and I did not like the idea of turn based gameplay. I think genius invocation tcg turned me off turn based, but once I actually gave it a go, I fell in love so quickly and I absolutely love the story and the cutscenes and all the characters. One thing I love is that most of their male characters actually look like men instead of the twinks we get in genshin (Iâm very gay) and so many of them are just simp material. Anyway apart from all the hot men, the story is actually really good, like the Penacony arch was absolutely incredible. There were obviously times when it was like a complete drag to get through because I was doing all the puzzles to get myself stellar jades, but the ending and fake ending were so cool and the cutscenes and music were actually perfect. Although it is a gacha game and has made me spend quite a bit of money, I wouldnât take it back if I had the chance. Anyway I know there is a lot of controversy around mydei but I love him and I wish I had enough money to e6 him cause heâs my main now and Iâm gonna be playing hsr for a while cause even though Iâve completed what we have so far in amphoreus, Iâve still got all those companion quests to go through. I would highly recommend at least giving the game a go and thereâs a free 5 standard 5 star selector currently running right now but Iâm not sure when it ends but I think itâs soon and having a 5 star just makes the game feel a bit better.

ive been playing HSR ever since itâs release, and it has been a great experience so far. I particularly enjoy the turn based gameplay and stunning animations/graphics which you can tell has had so much time and effort put into them. However, I believe that the game itself can be really hard to follow along with sometimes. Maybe itâs because im really bad at understanding storylines that are this much in depth, but along with this deeply over convoluted main storyline that almost makes you second guess yourself and your understanding of the games premise every second, there are SO MANY SIDE QUESTS. like SO MUCH. Itâs extremely overwhelming for me personally because along with trying to understand the main story, you have to follow along with those ADDITIONAL side quests. On top of that, co-op functions are limited which kind of isolates you from other players who could help you make sense of the game if you are having trouble with anything. I suppose thatâs why hoyoverses other game âGenshin Impactâ has experienced so much success. The strong community and interesting, easy to follow along storyline really allows you to immerse yourself fully into the games lore and characters without all of the confusion and plot holes. Thatâs just how I see it but of course I could just be really small minded and canât understand heavy topics as easily :,) or I just need some more time to get used to the game style of HSR. It really is a great game!
