The European Union - North Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee held its 24th meeting on 26 and 27 November 2025 under the co-chairmanship of Mr Karlo RESSLER (EPP) and Ms Ivanka VASILEVSKA (EPP). The meeting was held in the EP building in Strasbourg.
The agenda included the following items:
- Exchange of views with representatives of the Government of North Macedonia, the Presidency-in-Office of the Council, the European Commission, and the European External Action Service, on the relations between the European Union and North Macedonia
- Fundamental rights and freedom of speech
- Rule of law and fight against corruption
- Prospects of accession negotiations, good neighbourly relations, regional cooperation and regional stability
- Environmental issues
- Transport, energy and infrastructure connectivity
23rd Meeting of the EU-North Macedonia JPC, on 27 and 28 February 2025, in Skopje
The European Union - North Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee held its 23rd meeting on 27 and 28 February 2025 under the co-chairmanship of Mr Karlo RESSLER (EPP) and Ms Ivanka VASILEVSKA (EPP). The meeting was held in the Assembly of North Macedonia in Skopje.
The agenda included the following items:
- Exchange of views on relations between the European Union and North Macedonia with representatives of the Government of North Macedonia, the European Commission and the European External Action Service
- Fundamental rights and freedom of speech
- Rule of law and fight against corruption
- Good neighbourly relations, regional cooperation and regional stability
- Media and civil society
- Environmental issues, economic crisis and energy issues
- Transport and infrastructure connectivity
- Artificial Intelligence and Cyber security
