16th EU-Moldova PAC meeting, 5 December 2025 Chisinau, Moldova

The 16th meeting of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee took place on 5 December 2025 in Chisinau under the co-chairmanship of MEP Siegfried MUREŞAN and MP Marcel SPATARI. With a renewed Moldovan Delegation after the parliamentary elections of 28 September 2025, the meeting addressed the outstanding progress made by Moldova in its EU accession process, with the completion of the bilateral screening process and the Commission's assessment of the country's readiness to start negotiations on Cluster, as well as the security situation.

The adopted statement calls on EU institutions to initiate negotiations on Cluster 1 (Fundamentals), 2 (Internal Market) and 6 (External Relations) before the end of 2025, which would signal that the EU recognizes and rewards Moldova's concrete achievements.

15th EU-Moldova PAC meeting, 10 December 2024, Brussels

The 15th meeting of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee took place on 10 December 2024 in Brussels under the co-chairmanship of MEP Siegfried MUREŞAN and MP Doina GHERMAN. Taking stock of a year of intense political activities in EU-Moldova relations since, with the European Council's decision to begin negotiations with the Republic of Moldova in December 2023, and the first intergovernmental conference in June 2024, the PAC addressed Moldova's EU accession process, the security situation and the EU referendum and presidential elections. The adopted statement calls on EU institutions to initiate negotiations on Cluster 1 (Fundamentals) early 2025, and Cluster 2 (Internal Market) and 6 (External Relations) under the Polish EU Presidency and accelerate the screening process.
