(Interreg VI-B) NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme will strengthen the existing links between the participating countries and build new ones in the field of research and innovation and environmental protection. The Programme will therefore build upon and deepen the cross-border cooperation in the Black Sea Basin area in a transnational configuration.

ENI CBC BSB 2014-2020

ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020 is part of European Union’s Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) under its European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI). The overall objective is to improve the welfare of the people in the Black Sea Basin regions through sustainable growth and joint environmental protection.

The project Open environmental eFolio for joint maritime spatial planning and conservation of the valuable Black Sea Basin marine ecosystems (MARMAPs BSB00113) is organizing Regional networking initiative to promote project achievements and enhance impact. The aim of this meeting is to introduce the eFolio platform and to consolidate an international project-based cooperation network, bringing together experts and decision-makers involved in the delimitation, monitoring and management of Marine Protected Areas. The event will stimulate collaboration and joint action, capitalizing on existing and future European and international initiatives.

Grand Black Sea Forum

10–12 December 2025

The project Transnational Technology Transfer Network for Black Sea Basin (T3N-BSB, BSB00264) is organizing the Grand Black Sea Forum in Trabzon, Türkiye, on 10–12 December 2025. The event aims to strengthen regional cooperation and contribute to sustainable development goals by bringing together academia, industry, entrepreneurship, and public institutions from across the Black Sea Basin.

The Forum will serve not only as a platform to disseminate the results achieved within the project to a wider audience, but also as a starting point for future research, innovation, and transnational cooperation efforts across the Black Sea region.

The event expects participation from over 400 stakeholders representing at least four different countries (Türkiye, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania), promoting real-time collaboration among target groups.

Venue: Karadeniz Technical University, Prof. Dr. Osman Turan Congress and Culture Center

The Forum will feature seminars, panels, thematic workshops, B2B meetings, and project contests, focusing particularly on the following thematic areas: Blue Economy; Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation; Low-Carbon and Clean Energy Solutions.
