KENNETH GAINWELL
Running Back

The Steelers have been working on developing a consistent running attack throughout this season, and the Chicago Bears came into the game ranked second in the NFL in rushing yards per game and sixth in average yards per carry.

On Sunday, though, it was the Steelers who ran the ball better.

The Steelers posted a season best 186 yards rushing, and their 5.2 average per carry tied for their season high, but it was not enough in what ended up being a 31-28 loss to the Bears at Soldier Field.

Kenneth Gainwell led the team in rushing with 92 yards on 10 attempts (9.2 average), and he also led the team with 6 catches to finish with 122 yards from scrimmage. Gainwell is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Jaylen Warren, who rushed for 68 yards on 18 carries and scored a touchdown on a 1-yard run; T.J. Watt, whose strip-sack in the end zone that was recovered by Nick Herbig for a touchdown gave him 115 for his career, passed brother J.J. Watt, who retired with 114.5; and Jalen Ramsey, who was in on a team-high 9 tackles.
