SunriseWALKS raises funds to give summer back to children with cancer by supporting the world\u2019s only free full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings. This year, the SunriseWALKS Long Island event exceeded its goal and raised over $1 million.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About SunriseWALKS<\/strong><br \/>\nSince 2006, Sunrise Association Day Camps has been providing memorable summers for children ages from 3 \u00bd &#8211; 18 and brings the simple pleasures of childhood back to children struggling with pediatric cancer, changing months of loneliness and isolation into summer filled with sunshine, laughter and happiness. And because they are day camps, it allows children to continue their medical treatment and enjoy the comfort and safety of their own homes at night. In all, there are 8 Day Camps located in New York, Maryland, Georgia and Israel. The camps are affiliated with over 38 renowned hospitals and medical centers around the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NAM Gives Back Program<\/strong><br \/>\nSunriseWALKS is a part of NAM\u2019s <a href=\"\/company\/philanthropy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Gives Back<\/em><\/a> program and was established to help make a difference through the field of ADR, the broader legal community, as well as give back to the local communities in which it does business. The program is designed to drive positive change in communities both locally and on a national scale through support of numerous local and national charitable organizations.
