Very proud to be one of the organizers of this event. Lots of interest already. Please take a look and consider submitting a position statement. The movement toward AI agents mediating the discovery and purchase of goods is already well underway. Good to see GS1 and W3C working together. We need the two communities to come together if we're to help consumers and business. Please spread the word!
𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭. Artificial Intelligence is already having an enormous impact on e-commerce. Consumers are increasingly using AI to find the products they want and then negotiate the price with multiple retailers before the user makes their purchase decision. And if they choose your competitor, you won't ever know there was a sale to be had. AI agents operate through a confusing array of new protocols with similar names: UCP, ACP, MCP and more. How should brands and retailers respond? How can GS1 standards help to ensure that you are found? What guidance needs to be developed? GS1 is working with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to bring together brands, retailers, engineers, protocol developers, search engine optimisation practitioners and more at a workshop hosted by Google. In-person attendance is by invitation only. The event's programme committee welcomes position statements from those wishing to present their work or discuss a specific topic. Registration for online participation, which is open to all, will open in the coming months. For full details of the event, see here: https://lnkd.in/eWd3aWEG
