Last week, my team Woolford Medical Media and I hosted an educational programme for a group of junior oncologists at the historic Josephinum at the Medizinische Universität Wien . The goal was simple: create a space for learning, discussion, and collaboration in oncology. We were incredibly proud to see the event receive over 90% 5⭐ feedback from attendees. One challenge many medical meetings face is keeping energy and engagement high during the afternoon sessions - especially after lunch (and in Austria… the pastries don’t help 🤭🍰). We introduce Slido giving participants the opportunity to interact anonymously via their phones, answering questions in real time rather than raising their hand in a room full of peers. By mixing clinical questions with lighter moments, engagement stayed high and discussions became much more dynamic. It was a great reminder that small changes in meeting design can make a big difference to learning and participation.
