About us

NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) is an internationally oriented university with its main campus in Trondheim and additional campuses in Gjøvik and Ålesund. NTNU has a strong focus on technical and natural sciences, offering a wide range of professional programs and a broad academic scope. At NTNU Gjøvik, which is the only university campus in the Innlandet region, students can pursue degrees in fields such as computer science, health, design, technology, and economics. Our institutes are characterized by significant research activity and participation in various EU projects. Our key areas of focus include information and cybersecurity, sustainable industrial processess and manufacturing, as well as future health and care services. Gjøvik University College, established in 1994, was merged with NTNU, Sør-Trøndelag University College, and Ålesund University College in 2016.
